Oh I love the self portraits. I have never contemplated a self portrait (I don't draw any longer anyway) but these are inspiring. What was the process for each? Did they look in a mirror as they sketched or painted? Did someone take photos from which they drew? You certainly motivate your students to do nice work.

ReplyDeleteSome did portraits from a mirror and others from a photograph. Every artist should do a self portrait every three years....it's important and historical!
